The Scottish Insta Mingle

I always leap at an opportunity to talk to people about colour & design so I was absolutely delighted when Anne Marie of @scottishinstamingle got in touch 

I asked her in advance "what would you like me to talk about? My interior design career, the telly, the lucky swallows or my micro brand?"
She said "ALL of it!" 

What finer thing could there be than a room full of fellow Scottish interior design obsessives?

So many of these people I already knew through their socials, some of whom had even had their homes featured on SHOTY, so it really felt more like a large family gathering 

It was so lovely to meet everyone in person 🥰

I also put my cor-blimey-likely-lad-market-trader hat on and sold Lucky Swallows - I'd brought with me some of our colour experiments that aren't yet available to buy online 

They sold like hotcakes and people joked that they had all now joined a select group: the Lucky Swallow Club

It was incredibly interesting to see what colours people chose to put together and why

A lot of the chat, both on stage & off, and indeed afterwards in my DMs was about colour

Colour has the power to create a mood, express a personality, transform a space and that's why I'm dead against trends - especially when it comes to colour in your home
