Olympic Candle

To celebrate the 2024 Paris Olympics I have created a new candle fragrance in a dazzled bone china pot, made exclusively for me in Scotland. This design interprets the iconic dazzle design that transformed the majestic Olympic, sister to the Titanic, to her more feisty WW1 persona ‘Old Reliable’

I have curated a signature scent to capture the essence of the majestic ‘Old Reliable’ Small batches are hand made specially in Scotland by House of Rothach, a small luxury vegan fragrance company founded in 2019

Vetiver, Fig & Amber fragrances are mingled to create a bright, clean mood. Citrus, fig and green leaf top notes bring freshness and the woodiness of cedar and violet at the core are supported by the cosiness of oak moss and cedar. A complex yet life-affirming aroma that reflects the extraordinarily varied story of this plucky vessel that embraced her role as a luxury ocean liner with as much gusto as she did braving war torn seas

Candles always make a welcome gift, or treat yourself, the porcelain pot can be used as a mug, a small vase, pencil pot, anything you like!

Burn Time approx. 50 hours 

Directions: To get the most out of your candle, let it burn for between 3 and 4 hours for the first but never more than 4 in any one period

Trim the wick to 5mm before relighting. Always place your candle on a level surface

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children & pets. Keep away from things that can catch fire

Inside the pot is a swallow in flight, this references Edwardian Spode mugs that sometimes had a swallow inside with the words ‘However you try to drink me up, there’s always a swallow left in the cup’

The swallow tattoo was originally used by sailors to show if they had any sailing experience. It was also believed that if they drowned, the swallow would carry their soul to heaven
